Case study

Low-cost fuel acidity control

On-site sampling and analysis of a low cost, recycled fuel used in a large industrial plant enabled our analytical services team to locate the cause of corrosion in an oil firing system.

The addition of a neutralising agent was identified as the most economical solution to control the fuel acidity which in turn led to substantial increases in the operational efficiency of plant.
