We are excited to celebrate International Women's Day at HRL again! Here are our best wishes to the strong, intelligent, talented and simply wonderful women of this world. This year, we did something special to give back and express our support to other women on this special day. A charity auction was held that raised $500 from donations by staff. HRL matched this amount and the total of $1000 was donated to an Australian non-profit organisation for women's shelters.
The United Nations theme for International Women's Day 2023 is, "DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality". The United Nations Observance of IWD recognises and celebrates the women and girls who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education. The observance will explore the impact of the digital gender gap on widening economic and social inequalities, and it will also spotlight the importance of protecting the rights of women and girls in digital spaces and addressing online and ICT-facilitated gender-based violence.
