More than 35 years' experience in all aspects of power stations worldwide, from original manufacture through to statutory inspections. Specialising in material selection, risk based inspection regimes, and flaw detection. Responsible for run, repair, replace decisions on major high temperature, high pressure plant. Outage planning and management.

    Client: Millmerran Operating Company
    Role: Outage technical manager
    Key achievements:
    Managed technical aspects of a major power station outage including on-site NDT and inspection.
    Responsible for liaising with and advising power station staff on run/repair/replace issues.
    Development of welding repair procedures for various plant.
    Signing off on plant inspections to ensure compliance with the statutory requirements.
  • PROJECT | Unit 1 Refurbishment, Calaca Power Station, Philippines
    Client: DM Consunji Inc
    Role: Principal materials engineer and independent technical advisor
    Key achievements:
    On-site assistance during major refurbishment.
    Provision of materials advice on high energy piping.
    Development of risk-based inspection program for high temperature and high pressure plant.
    Management of on-site NDT and inspection.
  • PROJECT | Weld repair of high energy piping, Quezon Power Station, Philippines
    Client: Pearl Energy Philippines Operating, Inc.
    Role: Principal materials engineer and independent technical advisor
    Key achievements:
    Desktop-based provision of a weld repair procedure for a major failure on the main steam line.
    Management of subsequent laboratory-based failure investigation.
    Development of risk-based inspection program for all high energy pipework in the station.
