Gas Efficiency Master Class

Posted by Sam Clayton on 3 November 2017

hrl: attended the Sustainability Victoria - Gas Efficiency Master Class held in Shepparton this week.  The class focused on ways to shrink energy bills and how to become a more energy efficient manufacturing business. High rocketing gas bills have large industrial and food manufacturing businesses concerned and seeking ways to reduce gas and electricity consumption. Kevin Joyce, an Energy Consultant, was the key speaker delivering the Master Class and his message was, "Improving boiler systems to various heat exchange systems and combustion systems is one key area but the big opportunity is in steam systems and improving the way businesses ulitise steam."

This master class is part of a 6 million dollar effort by Sustainability Victoria to improve productivity with grants available for businesses to implement energy efficiency programs.  Gas Efficiency Grants can be up to $50K.
