HRL has an exciting opportunity for recent graduates in the field of Engineering to grow and expand in terms of technical capability and responsibility within projects as your experience and acquisition of knowledge of the services we offer, increases. Our experienced team will provide mentoring, guidance and training as required on a job by job basis from our diverse wealth of knowledgeable technologists and engineers.

About the Role

There are a number of roles for a 6-12 months graduate program across our Victoria and Queensland offices. You will be required to work in the office, laboratory, and field, from time to time and you must be prepared to travel as required. As part of the graduate rotation program, you may have to move to a different office for a short stint. You will work as part of a team to deliver onsite services and work within specified codes and compliance standards.

About You

The role requires a supportive team member with excellent communication, good customer relationship skills, initiative and a 'can do' mentality. Being professional and diligent with a strong focus on detail is required in engineering to ensure highest levels of customer service and high-quality output. Your written and spoken English will be exemplary.

To be successful, you will:

  • Have completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Materials/Metallurgy/Mechanical/Chemical)
  • Have knowledge of practical and theoretical engineering applications
  • Be energetic in your approach
  • Be eager to learn and absorb knowledge from experienced mentors
  • Be able and willing to travel for periods of one to four weeks at regular frequency (domestically and overseas)
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team sharing knowledge and work information
  • Have practical and hands-on skills. This role will involve physical activities at client sites.
  • Have demonstrated technical writing skills, ability to report and make recommendations
  • Have knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of packages
  • Have a valid driver's licence

Project Details:

HRL is committed to supporting decarbonisation. We aim to help our clients achieve future net zero emissions and participate in the clean energy revolution. HRL is seeking marketing graduate(s) / final year student(s) to join us in this exciting journey and to support us and our clients in shaping the pace of the energy transition.

This project will be between 3-6 months part time with the potential to extend further.

Key Criteria:

  • Prior marketing experience (own projects, internship, degree, other initiatives) helping clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with tools to design marketing campaign content
  • A positive, proactive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Team focused, highly collaborative and independent
  • CRM experience is a plus
  • Basic HTML skills are highly regarded, but not essential
  • Copywriting experience is a plus
  • Experience with social media marketing (highly desirable)

Key Duties:

  • Create and contribute to content for webpages and social media posts
  • Monitor and measure campaign effectiveness
  • Monitor competitor campaign
  • Manage communication and engagement with clients and key stakeholders through social media, email and in person
  • Help plan, curate, commission and produce engaging interactive digital content
  • Work closely with the marketing team to support other relevant content driven projects and assist in delivering high quality articles, interviews and media campaigns
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve customer experience
